To The Scarlet Woman

To my dear, dear, scarlet woman,
Your thin hands I used to hold
As your crimson waves crash upon my brow
Oh what a sight the masses behold
We became an ill shrouded romance
I wouldn't have it another way
But all poor magicians must be revealed
When I shattered your heart that fateful day
Please, my dear scarlet woman
I know of the curse you bestowed
For I shall never court another lover
Banished to die lonely and old
Forgive the actions of the burgeoning soul
He knew not what was done
I am senior now, my scarlet girl
Consuming innocence is no longer fun
My sacrilege you shall never forget
Yet I only ask an ear
Release me from this damnation
Allow me to replace the tears
It will be as it was in the beginning
Ancient times reborn with love
A supernatural romance...
That the elder poets write of
Alas! Your heart has turned to stone
A monstrosity you've become
Oh it is I that must take the blame
For I am the wickedest one
My dear scarlet woman
I was a fool to right the wrongs
Tonight I will dine with death
As I sing the light bearing songs
